At Grandview, our main focus is to educate the whole child. This includes teaching them about fitness and living a healthy lifestyle. The first full week of each month is our “Wellness Week”. Each day we focus on a different aspect of wellness. The days are: Motivation Monday, Tell a compliment Tuesday, Health is wealth Wednesday, Quench your thirst Thursday, and Fitness Friday.
These posters are posted around the school and in the classrooms. On the posters there are different activities that the students can choose from to fulfill that day. We also make sure to announce the wellness activity of the day and offer suggestions on what they could do at Gator Time, which is where we share what is going for that particular day. All staff members also try to encourage the students through the day to make sure that everyone is meeting those goals.
