State Testing Month

April is state testing month! This month our 3rd through 5th graders will be taking the Kansas State Assessment in reading, math, and science. The window for testing is April 11th-April 26th, it is important that students be in attendance during these dates. Here are some helpful tips to make sure your student is doing the best they can during thier testing:

  • A good nights sleep! 9-12 hours of sleep is the recommended amount for school aged children!
  • Breakfast! The most important part of the day and the greatest brain food!
  • Drinking lots of water to hydrate the brain and provide a needed boost of energy!
  • Encouragement! The greatest tip of all is to encourage your student to always try thier best and to never give up!

We are also accepting snack donations for the students during break time. Healthy snacks such as granola bars, goldfish, crackers, water, and sugar free gum are recommended. If you would like to donate a snack to your child’s classroom, please contact the classroom teacher for information on the number of students in each class!
