To help promote positive behavior, Grandview has been implementing the Green Clip and 100’s Grid system. Every monring teachers are given green clothes pins that they wear and if they catch a kid doing something amazing they hand the student the green clip. Then the student goes to the office to celebrate and turn in the green clip. At that time, they draw a number and then their name gets put onto a hundreds grid. The goal is to get a bingo by having 10 names in a row, column, or diagonal. Once 10 in a row have been filled the people in that row earn a reqard. Some of the rewards have been games, extra recess, or lunch with the principal.
It is very importnat that students be here during these times take the annual state assessments. Please help them get a good night’s sleep as well.

Library corner: February was a fast, but busy month in the library. We started the month with lessons about Kansas with a huge Kansas map. The students learned about different cities, rivers, and lakes inour state and it was a lot of fun. We also had lessons about our Presidents to celebrate “President’s Day”. The last full week of February was “Week of Engineering” and the tsudents got ot participate in engineering challenges in the library and in their classrooms.
Some exciting news for the library and school is that we were able to purchase a 3D printer. I look forward to many fun projects in the near future!
